COLEMAN STAYS ON MESSAGEJordan Coleman, who voices Tyrone the Moose on Nickelodeon’s “The Backyardigans,’’ has been in Massachusetts for the past few days showing off his movie “Say It Loud!,’’ which aims to keep kids in school. The 13-year-old (yes, he’s only 13 and he’s made a movie) screened the film on Martha’s Vineyard over the weekend and then again yesterday for youngsters at Northeastern University’s John D. O’Bryant African-American Institute. The movie features interviews with celebs such as Ludacris, Kobe Bryant, and Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

While most of us where still trying to figure out what we wanted to do with our lives at 13, Jordon Coleman has made it clear. He wants to work in the Film and TV world and really wants to be a Sports Reporter. But while he’s still working on achieving that goal he is currently working as the voice of Tyrone in the Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. show The Backyardigans.

Twelve-year-old Jordan Coleman, the voice of Tyrone (the moose) on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. show The Backyardigans, is raising his voice to encourage African-American boys to stay in school. Using earnings from his voiceover career, Jordan’s youth film “SAY IT LOUD!” will be shown in seven cities this summer as part of AMC Entertainment’s AMC Summer MovieCamp® program.
