Say It Loud Film - Inauguration Weekend in DC On January 19, 2009, I was in Washington, DC to speak at an Education Equality Rally during Inauguration Weekend. I was invited by Rev. Al Sharpton. The event was at Cardozo High School. When I arrived with my parents and brother, I went into the green room to wait for my turn to speak. I was ecstatic to meet so many powerful people. Here is a copy of my speech and some pictures from that day. It was an incredible experience. I’d like to encourage students who are struggling in school to ask for help, do what’s right, stay focused and hang in there.I’d like to thank Rev. Al Sharpton, Mr. Klein, my friend Mayor Cory Booker and the other special guests for their VISION, LEADERSHIP AND DESIRE to keep Dr. King’s dream alive.Like my mom always says, children need to dream big dreams, like Harvard, Princeton, Yale and DEFINITELY not jail.My name is Jordan Coleman and I AM THE DREAM.Thank You!
